The new sun splashes the vast horizon announcing its arrival.
A new day — one ordained by God — has been granted to us. Another day of grace extended to souls.
Upon this day, we can give thanksgiving and praise for all that God has done for us. With each morning sun that rises in the east we tend to take for granted what this really means. Another day to trust God’s promises. Another opportunity to exercise our faith that rests on the object of Christ. Another day to give glory to God.
We can go to the Lord and pray,
“Lord, we offer this day for you and to you. We don’t seize the day, but seize your presence that you readily offer to those who place their trust in you. Thank you for your promises. Thank you for your love and concern. Thank you for the freedom you give us to fully experience the hope and peace that is associated with faith. May our spirits be renewed and refreshed. And like the morning sun that arises in the east, we look to the horizon for your coming. Thank you Lord, Amen.”
